Prasun Chowdhury

Prasun Chowdhury is a founding Director of Avenir, a management consulting and implementation firm focused on facilitating the leadership of organizations achieve exponential growth. With a career spanning 30 years and over 25 years of consulting experience, he has led key leadership interfacing engagements with Fortune 50 organizations such as General Motors Europe, Philips International, Bayer, Shell, Burlington Resources as well as medium sized organizations across the world resulting in high value identification and capture. As a Director of Avenir, Prasun has led and supervised consulting engagements with well known corporate houses in India and North America such the Sukarne, Homex, Tata Group, Godrej Group, Kirloskar Brothers, Ashok Piramal group, Max Healthcare, RPSG group, Delhi International Airport Limited (GMR), and enabled senior management of these organizations to deliver significantly improved tangible results.

Prasun practices coaching for leadership development as a synthesis of empathetic listening, language led behavior transformation and actioning in the Gemba (Where value addition for an organization actually takes place).

Besides being an ICF accredited Agile leadership Coach, Prasun is a Strategic Decision Analyst and a leading Theory of Constraints (TOC) expert. He has extensive experience of conducting Corporate and Business Strategy, TOC and Critical Chain Project 

Management (CCPM) engagements across the world. His breadth of consulting has also encompassed TQM, Six Sigma, Service Quality and Process transformation.

During his career, Prasun has guided the conceptualization, planning and execution of several Joint Ventures and collaborations. He is a certified Independent Director and a Life member of Institute of Directors (IOD).

Prasun has presented a number of papers in various international forums thus being actively involved in the furthering the boundaries of management knowledge in the areas of leadership development, Corporate strategy and decision making, radical transformation and change management. Some of his articles have appeared in leading publications.

He is invited as a visiting/guest faculty to leading institutions such as Monash University in Melbourne, IIM Kolkata, IIT Delhi Management department, SOIL, IISWBM Kolkata, IMI, AIM, Manila, among others.

Prasun is also an active Rotarian, a major donor and dedicates his spare time to work on community service projects.

Prasun is an Engineering and Economics alumnus of B.I.T.S, Pilani, one of the leading institutions in India and a management graduate with distinction from Asian Institute of Management, Manila.
